May 2023 – We are thrilled to announce that our research on nanomedicine for placental imaging and magnetic hyperthermia for managing ectopic pregnancy has been funded by NIH/NCATS (R01). We look forward to collaborating with Dr. Myatt’s team at OHSU.
Our work on Nanomedicine approach to manage ectopic pregnancy was published in Small! Graphic: Parinaz Ghanbari. Work was highlighted by KGW8, KAT, Healio, and others.
What We Do
Welcome to the Olena Taratula lab! Here we focus on advancing women's reproductive health through innovative nanomedicine and nano theranostics. Our interdisciplinary research targets ectopic pregnancy, endometriosis, and choriocarcinoma, with a special emphasis on placenta-related diseases. We develop cutting-edge nanomaterials for imaging and therapeutic applications, including photo-theranostic agents designed for image-guided therapies. Our primary goal is to enhance early diagnosis and visualization of critical tissues, enabling immediate and effective treatment solutions.
